Nowhere is My Next Destination

Nowhere is my next destination.
Leaves are whispering in the April breeze.
Indus Valley is full of activities.
Horses are roaring to fly to a new horizon.
I will set sail in the blue waters of the Nile.

A brown forest besides the forgotten sea
calling me; green grass of Pahelgao calling
I have already informed the April breeze to
take me to the brown forest,
to an abandoned castle, where time hasn’t moved,
where the past gets dissolved into stone walls.
I am ready to go to a burnt house where
music reverberates,
where time has no relevance.

Nowhere is my new destination,
away from home, inside a 17th century painting,
in a castle, far far away;
or in the green pasture of the city library.

Whispers on the River Bank

Fishing nets hanging from bamboo poles
on the bank of the river, tell me the story
of despair and hope.
Now they’re swinging in gentle breeze,
giggling and whispering tales of agony,
anguish and heartbreaking.
Waiting under the sun,
they’re ready to kiss the river again,
like the proverbial mermaid, happy to be
in waters.

The gentle breeze plays with them.
And every whisper,
always tells the story
of despair and hope.
