Tonight I Wait
Tonight I wait for the moon
To come out
From the shadows of the clouds
It gives away faint glimpses.
As and when I see
I get to hear from you too
I wait patiently
For the moon to bring you to me
Finally I clock myself
I stare long
The cloud shyly teases me
It was 1.
Misty eyed, I look up
A faint moon
I realize
There are thousands of stars twinkling above
Whose light couldn't be veiled
The moon did not bring you to me
But I had my stars all along.
A Union
You bring your clouds
I'll be bringing my share of drops
and they will be married
in the heavens
of the city in depression
and we will wait
for our souls to be purged.
