Peace Is Not Elusive
Peace is not elusive
It waits quietly beneath the noise.
It waits in the pauses we overlook,
In the small unclaimed corners of each day.
It lives in the courage to listen
more than the desire to win..
It rests in the acceptance
that not everything needs resolution..
Peace sits quietly beside us
when we allow softness to outgrow fear
In forgiveness before it is asked.
PEACE stands beside us every day,
We simply need to choose it.
The Essence of Happiness
I watched them transfixed
with adoration filled eyes
the twosome seemed so wholesome
the man and his wife !
they adhered genuinely to the adage " work is worship"
inexorable had been their pursuit
I slyly admit they were but no altruist!
the toil in their bodies reflected in no low measure
they were tirelessly at it till the resilient ones
could no more take the pressure !
while the sinewy virile man's body carved in black stone
gleamed in his lustrous sweat pearls
his coy bride's innocuousness was as fresh and holy
as dewdrops falling on the carpet of grass!
A pertinent question kept endlessly haunting my mind
does money, power, lofty dreams and desire
on this Earth our relations bind?
